As Holistic Practitioners, we need to have a process that allows us to systematically examine and track our progress from many directions at once. Consider your S.O.A.P. Studies to be the “Holistific Method” because it is a thorough, methodical process for making the work that we are doing as Holistic Practitioners both predictable and repeatable.

In order for us to be efficient, effective, and to gain the respect of those we work with, our results need to be predictable and able to be repeated. Unfortunately, the “Scientific Method” cannot work for Holistic Practices, because the purpose of the Scientific Method is to take an idea apart and attempt to understand how it works in a vacuum. It is the opposite of holistic. It is also losing its title as the gold standard of proof as demonstrated by the video I've linked to linked at the end as well as the fact that my son’s grammar school sends home a letter every year about the Science Fair that recognizes and provides other examples of ways to study efficacy and progress.

Expectations
From the very beginning, "Open a Case" for each client that you see--no matter the service or their relationship to you. They do not need to know what good notes you are taking! You need to start learning how to pay attention to what is important and to think critically.
We recognize that this feels like tedious, not as much fun as crystals and massage, work -- but it is truly important so do not skip it. This is where you gain the true knowledge and experience that makes you not only a professional, but an expert and allows you to fine-tune your methods and gain the ultimate in confidence about the work you are doing!

- Keep a "SOAP Studies Binder" that you write you notes into during the service.
- Take before pictures if they are willing
- Use the same format (particular the one we teach you please) every single time
- Transfer your notes weekly into a google doc for each client/case
- Review your notes before each new session and make sure to make addendums to your Soap Study Files
